We are so happy to welcome back Brian Lau, one of our very first students from 2006, together with his parents, his wife Ashley, and their one-year-old son, Cassian!

Brian’s parents had a warm conversation with Chief Principal Dr. Chan, reminiscing about the many cherished moments of Brian’s growth. The atmosphere was deeply touching.

Brian was part of our first cohort and is the Boys B Grade High Jump record holder at 1.69m—a record that still stands! He played track and field, basketball, and represented our school with pride.

He studied at A-School before heading to the U.S. in 2012. He first lived in Seattle, then moved to Hawaii, where he studied communications and built a career in marketing, advertising, and public relations, and works with companies on social media campaigns and POS systems.

He shared fond memories of his time here, especially playing sports, and expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Yiu Chi Yung and Mr. Lee Man Kit for their support and encouragement. He also thanked the school for the scholarship he received.

Brian’s parents continue to be deeply thankful to the school for the opportunities and nurturing it provided their son. They were also active members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), contributing their time and efforts to the school while building a lasting and meaningful relationship with the A-School family. This home-school partnership, spanning more than twenty years, stands as a precious testament to the strength of our community.

Brain also admired Dr. Chan for turning the school into an exceptional place for students to develop their talents in sports and for all the achievements accumulated over the years.

Instead of choosing to go to California, where many of our old boys and old girls were, he shared that:
"Don't be afraid of being alone. Step out of your comfort zone. Go explore the world. But never forget where you started."

He also hopes to bring his son back to Hong Kong one day to learn Chinese, because he believes it's truly important.

Today, we are overjoyed to meet his wife Ashley and their adorable 1-year-old son, Cassian. It's a joy to see our A-School family growing!

Thank you, Brian, for coming back and sharing your journey with us. We're so proud of you and your beautiful family!

Alumni, would you like to share about your current adventures too? Please also feel free to reach out via the school's Alumni Affairs WhatsApp at 64837717.
